About

If you are an archaeologist or a researcher interested in archaeology,  you’ll know that digital tools and technology can create wonderful visuals, record complex data and make many day to day tasks easier.

But you’ll also have found that generic tools often don’t work well for the specialised work archaeologists do, that specialist tools go out of date or disappear and often don’t do exactly what you want.

Even when you have a useful tool you may well find that its data format is incompatible with other similar data or if you find useful archived data it isne’t easily translated into a usable format.

This network has been setup to try to help archaeologists find useful digital tools and data – and to help digital specialists engage with archaeologists to build tools that really help.
